Kitchen Positions
Radish & Rye’s Culinary & Baking Specialists, balance their time between baking sourdough breads, preparing a variety of fresh offerings, and collaborating on recipe development.
Key Responsibilities:
Mix, shape, and bake fresh, high-quality sourdough breads
Prepare and package soups, salads, and other seasonal dishes
Collaborate on recipe development and innovate with local, seasonal ingredients
Ensure quality and consistency in both bread and prepared foods
Organize and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen space
Manage bulk seasonal produce processing, including fermentation (e.g., sauerkraut)
Maintain kitchen inventory of produce, dry goods, and paper products
Take initiative in improving kitchen operations and efficiency
What We Look For:
Required Experience:
Strong background in dough handling, particularly with high hydration sourdoughs
Proven experience in a food service or commercial kitchen environment
Food safety knowledge (ServSafe certification preferred)
Strong organizational and kitchen management skills
Mastery of kitchen math (fractions, decimals, unit conversions) and knife skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Bonus Points:
Passion for local, seasonal food
Experience with recipe development
Retail grocery experience, including stock rotation and merchandising
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 8+ hours/day
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs as needed

$18-23/hour, DOE, with potential for a salaried position
